It’s what YOU want in your home that counts. I have real wood floors in my lounge, dinning room and bottom hall and tiles or carpet everywhere else. Since I paid a fortune for the real wood it’s there to stay whether fashionable or not. Just you do what makes you happy, taking in to consideration things like if you would be happy with laminate or wood in your bedroom where your bare feet touch it. Some people are, some people aren’t.
