Are women vindictive by nature?
It sounds like your ex is vindictive. I’ve known some people like that. Neither sex has a monopoly on vindictiveness, a vindictive person can be of either sex. But there’s a preventative method. Before you start dating someone, get to know her. Listen to what she says about the people she knows, and about her exes. If she has a vicious tongue, don’t date her. Assume that if she says nasty things about her exes, then she’ll say nasty things about you! If she says something like “Oh, my ex and I had great times together, but we just weren’t right for each other, and I do hope he finds a woman he can be happy with” then that’s a woman who might be worth dating. Same goes for women, listen to a man talk about his exes before you get romantically involved with him. I don’t know how many men have told me that their exes are psycho hosebeasts, and these men gossip about their exes and lied about them. It really goes both ways.
