Are women exploited on the internet?
Yes…the worrying thing about rationalising porn as a business and non exploitative because women choose to do it and get paid is naive at best and criminal at worst. Simply because when one site advertises the fact that they have ‘young looking’ girls on it another will offer younger, and yet another will offer girls…There are no distinct gaps between women and girls…the difference between a woman and a child in the UK is one day…the difference between her 15th and 16th birthday. Sure we are all hypocrites, we all enjoy erotica, but porn is exploitative it portrays girls and women in situations that are sexually unrepresenative, it is not made to reflect our sexuality or actually what turns us on…we are conditioned into ‘going with it’ because what else is there out there? None of us decent folk would advocate forcing any women to do anything she did not choose to do but there are women who are forced, who are trafficked, who are coerced at home to make amateeur skin flicks,
