Are WinMx Music Downloads Legal?
As with most P2P networks, the answer is yes…and no. The WinMx software is 100% legal. You can find millions and millions of music and movie files on the WinMx network which are either out copyright, or have been made freely available for download. There will still be a few big name artists who for reasons best known to themselves, don’t want to share their work with you, and that should be respected, but don’t let that stop you enjoying the party!
