Are wig caps different on different wigs?
There are several types of wig caps but all of these types can vary between manufacturers. Some of the wig caps are more comfortable than others, but they each provide a solution. There are machine made caps, combination wig caps, hand-tied wig caps, monofilament top wig caps, caps that are very light made with a mesh and “stretchable thin skin” and there are caps that are vacuum based which may be made of silicon or latex or similar materials. Machine made caps are very durable and are usually seen in fashion wigs. Combination wig caps have a monofilament top that is hand tied with machine made sides and back. Monofilament top wig caps are usually all hand tied/handmade. The monofilament top is very natural looking when someone looks at your head. The back is a slightly stretchy mesh net on which hair (synthetic or human) is tied, or knotted by hand into the mesh netting of the wig cap. These appear to look like your natural scalp with a natural hair line. Pictures of this follow belo
