Are White Dorpers more worm resistant than other sheep breeds?
The White Dorper was bred in dry, arid areas of South Africa where worm burdens are minimal due to climate and worms were not seen to be a problem. It is essential that proper worm monitoring/management take place in White Dorpers and the crosses. Normal drenching procedures apply as for other sheep breeds run in the same environment.
