Are weddings or other special events held at Fort Knox?
Yes! We have had a good many weddings and other special events at Fort Knox and now, the Penobscot Narrows Observatory over the past several years. Though one cannot exclude the visiting public from the sites during operational hours that have not prevented people from scheduling truly memorable events here. The special events that have taken place at the Fort and Observatory include wedding ceremonies, receptions, birthday parties, family and class reunions, parties and to corporate events. When scheduling your special day at the sites please let us know if you will be using a caterer, bringing in chairs, setting up tents or scheduling musicians. Due to State policy we are not permitted to allow alcohol during operating hours. Parking is somewhat limited, so you may want to avoid scheduling your event on our popular Special Event days (see Event page) The Friends of Fort Knox staff is ready to help you plan your special day and make it the success it deserves to be.
