Are wedding tents less expensive than an actual building?
When I researched tents they were more expensive. I was looking for a tent with A/C for my ceremony only-enough seating for 140 people . Tent was 40 X 50. Cost wiht A/C was almost $3000. $1600 of that was for the A/C. For a reception you would need a tent 3 times the size I looked at. I think you will be in teh neighborhood of $10,000 for your tent rental. WIth an actual venue, you may have food and bev. minimums to meet, but you will be hiring a caterer anyhow, so it just seems like a better way to allot your money to get an actual building. I choose a venue instead. I ended up working for us best. You have to have inspections and permits for the tents…. a real pain.
