Yes, we are militarily prepared. North Korea only has 1st strike capabilities, so they are not much cause for concern; 1st strike meaning that they are capable of launching a missle at another country. However, Russia and the U.S have 1st and 2nd strike capabilites; 2nd strike meaning after a state is attacked by a nuclear weapon, it has the capability to strike back, and in the case of North Korea, I really do not think that it is capable of absorbing a direct hit from a nuclear weapon and then being able to react with an attack of its own. Luckily though, the U.S and Russia have agreed upon MAD; Mutual Assured Destruction. The U.S and Russia have both acknowledged that because they both have 1st and 2nd strike abilities, if one state was to attack the other, both states, Russia and the U.S, have enough nuclear arms to whipe each other out. That being said, there is an incentive for the U.S and Russia to not attack each other, because both countries would just end up destroying each o
