Are WCPSSs construction costs higher than the national average?
American School & University’s 25th Annual Education Construction Report (May 1999) charted the national average square footage costs for schools. Based on these findings, Wake County spends less per square foot than the national average. Total cost includes: sitework, general contract, heating contract, electrical contract, plumbing contract, design fee, fees & various vendors, furniture, equipment/technology and library books.
