Dietary Supplement Background Information Vitacel GH3-7-8-9 are not classified as a drug but is a complexed vitamin C compound, since it is composed of two B vitamins. It does not replace other vitamins however, because the processing of the product makes these vitamins behave differently than other Vitamins. It is a Dietary Supplement and is regulated as such. Chemically, procaine the active ingredient in GH3, is the PABA ester of the amino alcohol DEAE. PABA (p-amino-benzoic acid), is a “B” Vitamin. DEAE, (Diethylaminoethanol) is a biologically active precursor of the “B” Vitamin Choline. Procaine is usually used in the form of the hydrochloride salt, Procaine HCl, because it is highly water soluble. Procaine Hydrochloride, when taken orally, enters the body by being mainly absorbed through the villi in the small intestine.
