Are Virtual Business Managers (VBM) the same as employees?
Not at all. VBMs are specialists in virtual ongoing administrative support and front/back-end business administration. Each encompasses many years of diverse experience and concentrated areas of expertise that makes each VBM unique. Virtual Business Managers are entrepreneurs and strategically minded business owners. They do not report to clients in the same fashion as an employee would report to a superior. Instead, they set their own boundaries, keep control of their own hours, vacations, and overall business operations. You can think of the client/VBM relationship in a similar fashion as you view your relationship with an accountant, attorney, or physician.
