Are vintage rotary phones valuable?
Some rotary phones are valuable. It depends upon age, color, and condition. Rare phones and phones in excellent condition may sell for good money. The vast majority of rotary phones are not worth anything, however. That black Western Electric 500 with all the stickers on it from grandma’s basement is worth about fifty cents in working condition. Remember, the Bell System had a monopoly on telephones in the United States and produced millions and millions of virtually indestructable telephones for several decades. eBay is a great source of old phones but don’t be taken in by those slick repainted “Lucy Phones” with a $199 price tag.
