Are Via rail economy seats any less comfortable then business class?
Not at all. In some cases, they even use the same cars. The only difference is the service you get. With business class, they will serve you food (I mean, proper entrees, not some prepackaged sandwich ), all the wine you can drink, desserts, etc, etc. like a mid-high grade restaurant. With econ you do not get this, although you can still buy food from a cart that comes around every once in a while. They both have the same (crappy) wireless internet connection but at least they all have power-plugs for laptops. I traveled quite a bit with both of these quite recently (Quebec-city-Windsor corridor), and to be honest, unless you intend to travel for a long time (like the full length of a corridor), there is no way to enjoy the benefits of the business class ( You’d have to eat all the food that is included in your ticket within an hour = no fun). So, for an hour, Economy might be more enjoyable 🙂 PS: On business class, people tend to chat quite a bit more often, so if you want to work fo
