You are not required to have a cover, but you may be more comfortable with one, especially one that is shaded with a sheet or in some other way as the sun is going down. Also, we would prefer if your cover or signs were free-standing or weighted as opposed to being staked. Stakes may damage the grass and increase the fees we have to pay in order to use the park. If those fees increase, vendor fees will likely increase as well. Also, remember that it sometimes rains, or can become chilly or windy unexpectedly, even in the middle of summer. It’s wise to wear or bring clothing for all types of weather.
