No, VELUX electrical products sold before 1 May 2006 are based on infrared technology, whereas new VELUX electrical products are based on a wireless technological standard denoted io-homecontrol®. VELUX electrical blinds, awning blinds and roller shutters are, however, compatible with both the old and new technology, i.e. these can be used together with both new and old generations of VELUX electrical products.
