Yes, most veggies that we eat are fine for dogs (with the exception of onions, garlic, avocado and mushrooms to name the main ones.), so carrots and beans are fine for the occasional treat as long as your dog is receiving a healthy diet of animal protein in the form of wet dog food, dry food or raw – whatever your feeding her. If your thinking about feeding a veg your not sure about, just google it, there are hundreds of websites with lists of foods that are OK for dogs to munch on. If you want her to get any nutritional value out of her veggies, then cook or blend them up first, otherwise she won’t get much from them. Apples are fine, my dog loves them too, she even recognises the sound of one being chopped and comes running! Just remember to core them first as the pips are toxic! – Most fruit seeds/pips are not good for dogs, so always remove them first. And never feed her grapes or raisins! Avoid fruits with high potassium levels such as banana as this is bad for your pooch’s liver.
