Are Vampire books too popular?
Publishers are slowing down publication right now because we are in a recession. They are trying harder than ever to hedge bets on their authors. Twilight is only one vampire book on the market right now. Mary Janice Dickerson has an Undead series that is Chick Lit and hysterical, I doubt that because of the popularity of Twilight she’s going to lose her audience, similarly Terry Garey has a great new series (four books in) also in the chick lit genre about a full figured and very funny Vampire named Gloriana. Leslie Esadali has a vampire series about a hunter who is wanted by all vampires cause she’s gonna give birth to the most powerful vampire being. — Jenna Black has some real dark astral projecting vamps and I’m not even getting into the classic vampire author over ten years. But I just started another series about single mom vamps and werewolves and a werewolf series I started. — Young adult novels are not the only writing ever to be done and S.
