In a way yes, they will also be conducting a visual inspection of the property to insure livability. Any significant problems must be repaired prior to closing. Things like missing handrails, broken windows, leaky roofs, wet basements and obvious damage or disrepair will be noted. The home does not have to be perfect but move in ready condition.
