Are users able to perform audio/video cuts editing on the desktop and use the desktop editor that is enabled by a unique-to-the-user password protected login?
Yes. Windows logon provides logon security to the desktop system. All VT client software utilizes a separate security scheme to provide user profiles and access security for the database and the entire system. This feature offers logons for every remote client, and user definable access rights for the database and media. Users with access rights can view A/V clips from the System, review the material, select clips, place the clips on a timeline, add a narration track and publish the final product back to the system, and available on both the high resolution and low-resolution systems. The final product is available for editorial review, final finish editing in a high-resolution edit suite or for broadcast via a TV studio or directly to “air” via automation.
