Are Urgent Care fees higher than those for regularly scheduled doctors’ appointments?

The office charge is the same as a typical scheduled doctor’s appointment, however there is an additional “after-hours” charge for urgent care visits. Most insurance covers this charge, but some insurance carriers may require an additional co-pay that is higher than a normal co-pay. In some cases, a charge may not be covered and you will be responsible. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card for questions about your coverage. In addition, some medications and/or medical supplies used for injuries may not be covered under your plan.
