No, not automatically under the VET system; however many universities have chosen to add VET accreditation to their scope even if they don’t offer VET accredited courses. Universities are part of the higher education system. Under Australian federal legislation universities are self-accrediting. Universities are periodically audited by Australian University Quality Assurance (AUQA).
