Yes, they will be converted to an equivalent grade in their countries education system. However say you only have GCSEs you passed at 16, their high school finishes at 18, so you may have to complete another 2 years. You can apply to universities abroad with A levels, so I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to for a job. Try and find out the equivalent qualification if possible, and write this next to what you actually took on your CV. You would be able to get a job in another country with these qualifications, but just like in the UK it will not be a very high paid job when comparing to university graduates. It may also be harder due to the fact many employers will not know these qualifications, so they might look at experience depending on the career you are looking at.
