Are twins still “missed” on ultrasound??
If a person misses a twin pregnancy on ultrasound at 9 weeks, they should not be doing ultrasound. Ultrasound is cross sectional imaging. A twin cannot hide behind another baby on ultrasound imaging. “Several decades ago, most women who were pregnant with multiples didn’t find out until they were in labor.
