Yes, Tree surgeons are required by law to serve two years compulsory service abroad in a third world country according to the needs and whims of the Tree Service. The penalty for failing to report could be a fine, imprisonment or even death. They are never out of the woods until their two years are up. Being a tree surgeon is not for the feint hearted.
