Are transmissions and traffic with a wireless connection encrypted?

0

If your wireless card/chip supports WPA encryption, and you choose an encrypted connection when you log into the network, your transmissions and traffic in the air (i.e., to and from your computer and the access point) are encrypted. For faculty and staff choosing an unencrypted connection, but who log into the network using the campus VPN, the transmissions and traffic is encrypted.
