Are transgendered individuals excluded from being considered a population subgroup to be included in a Community Transformation Grant application?
No. The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) provides examples of subgroups experiencing health disparities; however, these were only examples, not an exhaustive list. Applicants should use available data to identify locally relevant subgroups experiencing health disparities. That information should then be used to prioritize and justify the selection of population subgroup(s) to be served and to outline specific interventions that will facilitate removing known barriers of the population subgroup(s) in achieving the goals of the Community Transformation Grants (CTGs).
