are tract homes (e.g. pulte) better or worse than normal homes?
They are certainly easier to Zestimate since there are usually many many comparable listings to track. There are good and bad homes from all builders. If you hire an inspector after you’ve made an offer on a home, you will have a much better idea of the level of quality and safety on whatever property you choose to purchase. As far as resale, having many comparable sales in a neighborhood is a double-edged sword. You are bolstered and limited by other sales in your neighborhood. If you have something more unique, sometimes you can buck the trend a bit more freely.
