Are tomatoes a fruit or a vegetable?

Botanically speaking, they are fruit because they contain seeds. However, so are marrows, cucumbers and aubergines, whilst strawberries are not fruit as their seeds are contained in pips on the outside. Make your own mind up on this, but I’d call them fruit.
