Are tighter boxer shorts better for my genitals?
All kinds of crap around about underwear– that briefs are bad, boxers good, etc. None true. Boxers don’t provide any advantage over briefs, nor do tighter boxers provide any advantage or disadvantage over loose boxers- boxers are simply modesty shields, since they provide no support at all. Briefs provide a lot more comfort and are not “bad” for you- not true they make you sterile or anything like that.
Your body has a natural temperature regulating system which keeps the genitals at the right temperature. This is why when a man gets cold the testicles shrink up toward the body. They are trying to get warm. When they get too warm the testicles hang lower in the sac. Tight fitting boxers keep the testicles close to the skin and can get too warm. This can not only damage the sperm that are being made at that moment, but can lower sperm count for the future.
