Are They Playing Down Nazis In Captain Americas WWII?
If so, it’s kinda funny as Nazis tend to be the go to bad guys for a Hollywood that often prefers to shy away from Islamic terrorists, except as a diversion from the real bad guys: Nazis or a government/corporate conspiracy (or a rogue element within). While they may be ret-conning HYDRA into WWII for marketing purposes (removing the Swastika from the Red Skull makes it easier to sell his toys), I kinda doubt they’re crazy enough to completely remove Nazis from that part of history. Then again, the director has said some other things that make me think I’ll wait for the download, unless tremendous word of mouth sways me into seeing it at the theatre.
