With respect, I have to disagree that it is labour. Although the time is right, it is not yet labour. You have some gastrointestinal symptoms that are not directly related, yet they are most likely due to your condition and both physical and mental stress, but of course the baby is putting pressure on the intestines and even the rectum. There is considerable pressure in your pelvic girdle or the pubic bone, and it is in the process of spreading apart – it has been for awhile. That really aches, I’m sure. But I don’t think you have felt your first contraction yet. At this rate, if you are slow, they could be hours apart when they come. Your back is definitely normal, and it hurts like it should. Since it is your first baby, you may be having a hard time distinguishing between those stomach pains and real contractions or cramps. It is difficult to say, but I just don’t think it is actual labour. It won’t be long however; don’t worry, I think you will have adequate notice, and you aren’t
