Are these people arguing they want their religious symbols used in schools, or not used in schools?

It appears that people (mainly Christians) are petitioning for equal representation of non-Native American religious symbols in the Kansas schools because the Native American religious symbols have permanent representation whereas non-Native American ones do not. They’re claiming violation of the 1st and 14th amendments. (It seems they’re claiming because some of the schools show Native Americans in headdresses that have eagle feathers–and that eagle feathers allegedly have some sort of religious significance to Native Americans–that these are religious symbols. That means the schools have to allow everyone to have religious symbols permanently displayed.

They don’t mind the symbols being in schools as long as they are treated with the respect they hold as Indian religious symbols. They object to their misuse as decoration, entertainment or playthings. bytheway, that was interesting.
