Are these grand plans going to solve long-waiting times, getting appointments with my GP and transport problems like parking at hospitals?
We have already made a lot of progress towards reducing waiting times for health services. One of the causes of long-waiting times is too many people trying to use the same hospitals. Under the proposals more and more care will be provided in the community so it will be easier and quicker to get an appointment with your GP or with other professionals you need to see. New GP centres and local health care centres will also be designed to make sure they are easy to access and have enough car parking spaces for local people.
