Are there warning signs in children that indicate that they are at risk of NPD?
A Yes! Children send out many warning signs of symptoms which often are indicators of a narcissistic injury. Traditional acting out such as lying, stealing, poor eye contact and overall poor attachment skill, skipping school (among others) can be a sign of a serious trouble. NPD is normally not diagnosed until early adulthood, but there are some juvenile disorders which can be early signs of NPD. The two most commonly diagnosed by professionals are Conduct Disorder and Oppossitional Defiant Disorder. It is important to note that these disorders can be related to other personality disorders as well.
