Are there trails on-site or nearby for hiking/cycling/skiing?
Yes, there are a number of trails in the vicinity, including the Uthoff Trail from Orillia to Coldwater and the Lightfoot/Millenium Trail system in Orillia (9 km paved). Both of these are part of the Trans-Canada Trail. Bass Lake Provincial Park is accessible free of charge for hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing from October through to mid-May. Hardwood Hills cross-country bike and ski trails are 20 minutes away. There are also trails in the Copeland Forest (15 to 20 min.) as well as other County forest areas. The Ganaraska Hiking Trail runs east/west south of Bass Lake along country roads , farm hedgerows and through woodlots.
