Are there times when obedient Believers suffer poverty?
Yes, God may allow poverty in a time of testing. Job was a righteous man who loved and served God. God allowed Satan to challenge Him over the integrity of His servant, Job. Satan had to ask permission, and God put limits on what he could and could not do. Satan basically accused Job of only obeying God because of the many blessings, including wealth, that God had given him. The test was to PROVE whether Job would remain faithful to God, no matter what happened to him. When the time of testing was over, God restored Job’s possessions.
