The Pool Prodigy has been tested and used in climates all throughout the United States. While the amount of sanitizing ion introduced to water flow of the pool may need to be adjusted based on climate, as describe in the Owner’s manual, the Pool Prodigy will perform in any climate. That said, if you live in a climate where you winterize your pool or if daytime temperatures stay below freezing for more than 2 days, it is necessary to remove all Muriatic Acid from the Pool Prodigy as described in the Service Instructions, as described in the User’s Manual. This is to prevent damage to the unit from freezing and thawing.
