Are there tax advantages to living at Ginger Cove?
Ginger Cove residents are entitled to make an annual tax deduction of the portion of their monthly service fees that can be attributed to medical costs. This figure is calculated each calendar year and may differ somewhat each year. In 2009, this deduction was 36.45%. In addition, residents are entitled to a one-time tax deduction (taken as a medical deduction) of the non-refundable portion of their entrance fee. This is typically 10% of the entrance fee.
