Yes. But they’re not called that, and they’re not the defining genre for comic books as they are in this world; they’re just one of a hundred different niche products that come out in comic book form. The American comic book industry, in terms of the genres and topics it covers, is very fragmented and more closely resembles the manga industry of “real world” Japan than it does our America’s comics.
