Are there strenuous occult work to be done regarding the magickal items?
It depends on the item. Generally speaking, there are no fasting or strenuous recitations to do. Most of the work have been done for you by the occult adepts who empowered the magickal items. The powers are acquired and channeled by them to the magickal items. There may be some work to do, such as reciting short prayers or affirmations, but they only take a minute or two to complete. You mostly have to carry the magickal object with you or put it somewhere in your home, office, store, etc., in order to have it function for you. There are exceptions, however. Quite a few items do require some heavy occult work on your part. However, gaining mystical abilities would even be more strenuous without the help of the empowered items. You may go by this general rule: the greater the power, the heavier the discipline.
