Yes there are; however they’ve modernized along with the rest of the world. They don’t use swords and old school guns like in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I don’t know how often you watch the news but occasionally there will be reports of pirates raiding cruise ships and such.

Yes there are… recently there was a report that pirates tried to take over a cruise ship. The cruise ship got away though!
