The law states, in part, that: “No real estate licensee shall knowingly advertise, print, display, publish, distribute, telecast or broadcast, or cause or permit to be advertised, printed, displayed, published, distributed, televised or broadcast, in any manner any statement or representation with regard to the rates, terms, or conditions for making, purchasing or negotiating loans or real property sales contracts which is false, misleading or deceptive.” To assist licensees in complying with the law, Commissioner’s Regulation 2848 sets forth sixteen (16) subsections of “don’ts” of mortgage loan advertising.
