No, not in specific terms but anything that is potentially harmful to our bodies and to the bodies of others becomes an ethical issue. The dangers and harm of second-hand tobacco smoke to the physical body particularly that of a fetus are now proven facts. In addition environmental studies have elevated personal smoking habits in confined spaces to the level of local, state, and federal laws. Lawsuits concerning various issues of smoking are major issues in the courts. The Scriptures, in I Corinthians 6:19, 20, asks the believer, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” Our actions in this present life are important.
