Are there special travel requirements for minors?
Yes. If you are not traveling with both parents, some countries, notably Mexico, require minors to carry a notarized letter signed by the parent or parents not going on the trip. This letter must contain permission to travel, the destination, and trip duration. We expect this requirement to be adopted by more countries including, perhaps, the U.S.
