The Children’s Department serves children through 11, their parents, caregivers, and any interested patrons. The following services are offered regularly: Storytimes (ages 2 to 6) Special programs (ages vary) Summer Reading Program (ages 3 to 11) Programs, which are sponsored by the Friends of the Winchester Public Library, are free of charge and open to Winchester residents only. The Children’s Department contains books and audiovisual materials for children, as well as collection for parents and teachers, and in-house CD-ROM resources. The Children’s Librarians welcome any reference questions, and are available to assist with the selection of material. Call to arrange for group visits, Teacher Packs, or other special services.
