Are there special inks or processes required to produce C3DTM images?

NO! Some of our customers have been told that they had to use special inks to create ChromaDepthTM images. This is blatant nonsense promulgated by the Color Mafia. There is nothing special about the image whatsoever regardless of the medium! ChromaDepthTM glasses work on the color in an image without any dependance on how that color comes into being. Good process printing can be used quite effectively. If spot colors are available, they should be used to get stronger blue and red tones. The Pantone Hexachrome six color printing system is supposed to give a broader range of colors than the traditional CMYK process colors.
