Are there snakes in the Azores?
There are no snakes in Azores. the Azores is a young island recently created with the current vocanic activities. The island was created from the middle of the ocean. There are strict animal controls. No wild animals can be brought onto the island. So basically, snakes couldn’t easily gone to an island surrounded by water. The only animals you could find are domesticized animals, animals bred only for food or other reasons. The animals you WILL find are animals like cows and dogs. Otherwise, there will be no snakes there at all. Only birds or water mammals.
