Are there side effects of guai?

Technically, no. Your pain, numbness and all the extra things you feel on guaifenesin are fibromyalgia symptoms reversing. They are your best clue that the guai is working. The guaifenesin has no side-effects (apart from nausea for a few people) so ironically, if you feel worse, you are getting better! If you do experience nausea taking guai, get some empty gelatin capsules at the pharmacy and put the guai inside. That way it will dissolve when it is past your stomach. You could also take the medicine with food. This might also help those with acid reflux after taking Guai; the reflux might indicate a need for the HG diet or an elimination of some food or mixing of foods. Guaifenesin doesn’t interfere with any other medications and is completely safe to take no matter what other conditions you have but please always discuss with your Health Care Professional/Doctor before adding or changing medications.
