Yes. Breast-credential applicants must be directly involved in 800 cases (at least 400 of which must involve hands-on scanning) and must have a minimum of six months of full-time, breast-ultrasound clinical experience (which is designated as 35 hours per week at least 24 weeks per year) in a breast-ultrasound setting. This requirement only applies to breast-credential applicants who are also first-time applicants. Please note, if you have been approved to for another ARDMS examination, other than the SPI examination under the SPI Examination Requirement or the PVI examination, you are considered a re-applicant. Also exclusive to the breast-specialty clinical verification form is the Clinical Experience Documentation Form. Breast-specialty applicants, who are also first time applicants, must use this form to record the performance of each repetition of the breast sonography procedure in the order in which they were performed.
